Water Resources / Watershed / Ahupuaʻa Planning

Water resources are limited in Hawaiʻi’s isolated and very finite islands. Many of TOWNSCAPE’S larger-scale planning contracts are focused on water resources and watershed management issues. The traditional Hawaiian concepts of land and water management and community responsibility and cooperation that are embodied in the ahupuaʻa system have strongly influenced our approach to watershed planning.
